Rio Diablo was formed in January, 2001 with only two members RJ and Ed. With a lot of work and perserverance, it turned into a band of five that played out quite a bit over the next 4 years. This lineup disbanded in 2005.

There have been a few mis-conceptions about the type of music we play, and also our religious affiliations due to the name Rio Diablo, which translated into english means "Devil River". Truth be told, there are no implied religious affiliations on our part. Rio Diablo actually borrowed the name from a Western film of the same name featuring Travis Tritt, Kenny Rogers and Naomi Judd. Not to mention, we REALLY love our logo...
The band is currently doing shows at different clubs around town and we are looking for more venues to play in 2009. We love the music and really enjoy ourselves when others have a good time at our shows (actually, we would enjoy ourselves regardless, but the crowd always helps...) We are very proud of the amount of work we have all put into the music, and always strive to give a great show.
