Rise of the Tiny Giants is a 3 piece experimental, folk/folk punk band consistant of: Joey Derr, Quinn Hardcastle, and Russel Nash.
Joey Derr is the lyricist, lead vocalist, guitarist, and pianist. He also plays many other instruments, however sticks mainly with those listed. In the year 2010 he wrote, recorded and released a debut solo album entitled: "The Girl With the Paper Heart" all in his home studio. After the release of this album he and the talented Quinn Hardcastle began playing Joey's songs out at many cafes, small shops, festivals, and other venues. Quinn Hardcastle is the bassist and pianist. He also has many other musical talents, but concentrates most on the bass. After a long series of rumaging through some not so desirable band names they adopted the name Rise of the Tiny Giants and soon began building a reputation for themselves. New to the mix is Mr. Russel Nash. He is the band's new percussionist and is a grand addition.
As of late the band has been playing out and writing a ton of new material in hopes of recording their debut album and having it released sometime in 2012.
