RJ Maine aka RJ Pleasant straight outta the projects on the Northside of Flint, Michigan always had a feel for writing since the 6th grade. As a well respected Basketball in Michigan he was ranked 7 in the State for the best Shooting Guard in Highschool. As RJ graduated from Bridgeport HighSchool in 2004, He began his Basketball career at Grand Rapids Community College where he played and made lots of Athletic Achievements his first year. After his First year of College His best friend got sent to prison which took a toll on RJ. RJ decided to move back to Flint, then after a couple of run-ins with the law, and dealing with being around alot of negativity, RJ decided to move with his Brother-in-Law to College Station, Tx where he began a new life. College Station, Tx was very new to RJ but very Hard to adapt to due to the Lack of Jobs. RJ, then relocated and moved to Austin, Tx(Music Capital) where he knew it was now or never to achieve his goals and start a postive life for him and his Family. His passion began to get more and more indepth as far as his writing for music due to all the Struggles and Pain he's been through over the Years. Now RJ Music is being played in various clubs in Austin, Tx and on the Radio Station. His hit single "SHE FRESH" Is starting to get alot of attention and catch various Record Labels Ears. The song has a very catchy hook along with much swag on the verses as he talks about the independent women on the track. RJ has always lived up to his 1 Motto which is "EARN RESPECT & MAKE PROGRESS" which now he's starting to see coming full circle.
