Rick Joncas was born in Val d’Or in 1973. He plays music since his youth and it is finally in 2008 that his best friend Frederic Fournel, who always believed in him, took in charge his career. Rick moved in Quebec city in order to build a studio, where he presently lives. They established their own record company, which is named Amarok Productions Inc. to record his first album.

To produce his album named 888, the artist surrounded himself with three Rock ‘n’ Roll legends of the old school : Steven Segal (guitarist, ex-guitaris of April Wine), Nancy Martinez with her splendid voice, as well as Bob Stagg at the keyboard. His first album, was produced and mixed at the Studio 1680, owned by Steven Segal.
It is in January 2010 that Rick Joncas independently released his firts English album in which he composed most of the lyrics. Rick did not choose the easier path in building his own record company and he is not scared to venture off the beaten path.
Very comfortable on stage with his guitar and unique voice, he performs with devilish energy that electrified the crowd each and every time. This charismatic "Rocker" creates on his passage a magnetic attraction caused by his mysterious personality. With his great presence, it only takes a few minutes to figure out that he is part of the elite few.
