In a world where everyone sounds the same, there is at least one artist that holds his own in the world of music. With his “I will succeed no matter what” attitude, and his “go so damn hard” flow, K9 excels everyday in the world of music. While K9 writes his own songs, produces his own music and engineers most of his songs he is the total package. This kid sings, raps, and rocks his heart out daily, and he also attends the “Institute of Art”, in Schaumburg, Ill for audio production where he is learning hands on how to operate equipment that he will be spending the majority of his life around. K9 was born October 29,1990 as Keenan James Davis in Chicago, Illinois. As a child being around his uncle Jeremy who is also an MC he always saw HIP HOP for what it really was, and at age nine he started beat boxing for his uncle at local get togethers. This put him in the position to start his career as a “rapper.” Shortly after establishing his self as a “fly on the wall” K9 started making rymes with the older rappers in the neighborhood. From being around his uncle and studying so much, he was always better than other artists in his age group since his level of satisfaction was being better than a 20 year old and he was only 9. He was 9 years old when he started rapping and he never wanted to change his first name so he kept the first letter of his name to create a beast..K9..As he grew K9 has had many influences, and he honestly says that he is heavily inspired by anybody who creates some sort of music. K9 has been noticed in Chicago as a “dope Mc.” He as also been in the torch newspaper for a mixtape that he created. For this mixtape there was also a very successful mixtape release party at rich city skating rink, where K9 opened up for Def Jam’s own “Jeremih.” K9 has worked with artist such as ;Terror squads “Mush Millions”, Chicago’s own “Sly Polaroid”, Mya, Twista, and many more. K9 has established a name for himself in chicago but that cant ever be enough for him when he wants the entire world to come in contact with his work. There is nothing that will stop K9 and his music. His goal is to never stop ever, and that means he has been reaching it since he started this musical journey. Thru his leadership attitude and his life changing songs K9 is the next gigantic new thing that nobody has ever seen but will fuckin love when they do see it.
