Roddy MacIsaac is an accomplished, musical intellect. As a young boy, the piano gave him the curiosity to further investigate the wonders of music. Ever since then, Roddy has always had a natural talent for creative sound, and composition. Instruments always came naturally to him; improv was always a game. Once he started to musically mature, Roddy started to expand his musical destiny by studying theory, and utilizing the mechanics of his instruments. He soon found himself excelling in the art’s at a substantial rate.
Roddy has always been motivated and critiqued by his father who was also a professional guitarist for many years of his life. Roddy played around with music up until his first year of high-school and then became serious about it. Throughout his career, Roddy never enjoyed following notation, and reading other peoples compositions; he simply figured he could do it better himself. He began a rivalry with one of his close friends on the guitar experimenting with rock, jazz, and classical. This was a strong motivation to become even better. Roddy soon began playing with live bands such as Meatlouis, and Purple Automaton.
As of late, Roddy MacIsaac has been involved with solo recording. With every track written, and composed completely on his own there is no question that Roddy will sky rocket into an upward spiral of creative triumph.
