Rodell Jones passionately known as Souldiamondro from Washington, DC is an upcoming R&B crooner labeled by many as “The next generation of R&B singers.” A true vocal student, Souldiamondro rises as an undisputed Phoenix in the wake of some of the greatest Songmasters of all time. The greats such as Gerald Levert, Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye and Michael Jackson have had a profound influence on Souldiamondro. It is evident that their memories, of love, passion anger and lust continue to live in the music Souldiamondro creates.
In March 2007, Souldiamondro competed in the very first season of the online podcast of Famecast (www.famecast.com) out of 30,000 contestants, Souldiamondro finished in the top five, which landed him a trip to perform a live broadcast in Austin, Texas. Souldiamondro finished the competition in third place with more than a 177,000 views and votes. In early 2008, Souldiamondro’s musical talent reached super mogul R&B mixtape extraordinaire DJ King Nade of the world famous Fleet DJ’s. After a series of song releases on King Nade’s R&B mixtapes “The infatuation”, Souldiamondro worked a deal to release a Solo R&B album mixtape collaboration called the entitled the “Story of Ai”, which was released Feb 14, 2009 . Astonishingly, his fans are from every genre of music including country, rock, and hip hop, presenting him as one of the most diversified R&B singers found today. As a writer and publisher through ASCAP, Souldiamondro founded AK-Lee Diamondz music in hopes to get his music to touch the world. He also own a free lance vocal coaching/musical consulting business called “The Voice Master” in which he helps to coach other up an coming fellow artist.
Presently, Souldiamondro can be found at Rushing Wind studios in Silver Spring, MD, (recording home to some of the DMV’s most talented artists) working on his new project. Check him out on Ourstage, Facebook and Twitter for booking and engagements.
