Drummer since the age of 10. Grew up in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX and involved with several musical projects around North Texas including numerous rock bands that performed in the Dallas music scene. Life brought me to Indianapolis some years ago and I soon joined Dr. Feedback, a rock outfit that played at several festivals here in Indy. I opened for REO, Loverboy and several other 80's bands. I got the chance to travel to Mexico and the Caribbean Island nations of Jamaica and Haiti. It was there I learned about World drumming and Afro-Caribbean rhythms. I absolutely loved it! So I started combining rock's steady beats, with an afro-caribbean overlay rhythm blendid with my own since of freestyle licks. My brand of music is world drumming, power drumming. It is not tied to any particular culture, ethnic group, or nation. There is no attempt at cultural authenticity. The rhythms are specially composed to be exciting, danceable, and multi-layered with lots of variety. My sound is aggressive, progressive, modern, hard hitting as well as soothing and very up beat. I love to perform for people, it has always been my passion. I love sharing my music and talent with people. I also greatly appreciates constructive criticism for this only makes you better, stronger. I guarentee that my music will move you, you'll find it catchy, foot tapping, energetic and it is my mission to provide this for you. Please keep an open mind while listening, don't think of it as just drums but rather a multi-layered rhythmic and percussive experience. It is with the Talking Drum that I am able to create the melodies and harmonies that would typically be made with a stringed instrument. I also create the chorus and transitions using the Gangan. This is what makes my music making different, most composers use the drums to give the song a strong rhythm, whereas I uses the drums to create all parts of the song. I have been a percussionist for over 25 years, beginning as a self taught drummer using everything from pots and pans to the side of bath tubs, sinks, tabletops, plates, trash cans, cardboard boxes, etc... I perform live for an array of events from private to corporate providing the best in live drumming guaranteed to get your group feeling up and alive! I facilitate drum circles for family events, church functions, grand openings, entertainment, community outreach and moreā€¦ I also hold workshops on wellness and drumming, empowerment group events and am an educator on the body and rhythm teaching the various rhythms from around the world, life and spirit rhythms. "I have poured my passion and soul into my music!"
