"At first, I don't remember really thinking, 'Okay, I'm gonna sit down and write a song now.' It was more like I just wrote them as part of who I was."Ryan is not one just to write songs for the Christian, however, but also for the unbelievers. "I want to clearly present the gospel to people. In this day and age, people can have such hazy thoughts as to the whole 'what' and 'how' of salvation. I want to help bring light to this.""Really," he says, "salvation is simple to grasp, in a sense, so that even a child can understand it." What is this salvation? "Well, we are all sinners by both nature and choice. A sinner is one who falls short of God's standard of perfection. Any sinner is condemned to die."So, how could there be any hope? "God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die in our place, taking our sin upon Himself. Then three days later, He rose again so that we could have new life. Now all He requires is that you trust in Him and what He's done in order to be saved."This is probably one of the biggest driving forces in Ryan Vegh's music ministry; and if God is on Ryan's side, who can be against him? "It's all by God's grace that I am saved and that I am what I am. God has brought me here and He'll see me through."
