Bassist Mike Lorenzi, a long time friend of Ruggles, seemed an easy fit for bass. And after a year of line-up change, Safer added former Optimus Rhyme drummer Tim Carter to the roster in early 2008. Wasting no time, Safer immediately went into the studio following a few small shows. After two recording sessions yielded twenty songs, a blistering set of powerful vocals, driving drums and bass, and volitle guitar riffs make-up the seven song e.p. “Now You Turn On.” Safer's second release seems to scream out in an attempt to shake people awake with an almost frantic urgency.
