He’s whole look takes you back to the medieval age where the Viking ruled with an iron fist, yet he lives in the 21st century where his new victim is your next door hip hop junkie that can’t get enough of his amazing club bangers. Salif’s music career spins back more than a decade ago. He started his journey in a basement studio where a neighbor heard his rap skills and invited him in to show what he was made of. It was a no brainer, this cat had as much talent and ambition as any pro and he’s spit game had as much shingle as any seasoned Mc. A naturally born leader, Salif was introduced to the grind and hustle game of hip hop at an early age. He would garner up his own crew, record a hot album, take a director to New York to shoot his video and basically do what major labels do with million dollar budgets and as fictitious as this sounds, he effortlessly puts this in play to keep himself relevant in the game. Salif has already had an amazing career that has seen him tour the world and backup some of the hottest acts in hip hop. When he shared the stage with Busta Rhymes, he knew that his game was a step ahead of what it was a few years back. The crowd fell in love with him and promoters called to have him back in several European cities. He heed to the call and toured for as long as he could yet there was a nagging twitch in his eye, “America”. He knew that he had all that it took to be a star and all he needed was a chance to cross the Atlantic and fuse his Viking roughness to the American Swag. He finally made his way to Atlanta and in this dirty south capital he would find the motivation he had been looking for. After hitting the lab with several producers and cutting a few records with the best in the A, Salif was ready to take his newly found swag back home and test it.
