“A bright and bold new talent has emerged from a dusty dormitory room at Syracuse University” (The Eagle). “Aument writes her songs with an understanding of heartfelt emotions… through her wavering, Feist-like vocals” (20 Watts). “We are happy to inform you that Sarah Aument’s debut album, Vertical Lines, is wonderful.” (WERW Radio). While often compared to singers like Feist and Cat Power, Sarah Aument adds a style of rock to the mix. She is best described as Folk Rock with influences from Wilco to even Carole King. Sarah first took to the guitar in high school and immediately began writing music. Since then, her unique voice and style have opened the doors to her music career. Currently based out of Syracuse, NY, Sarah Aument continues to play shows including 2010 CMJ in NYC, while attending Syracuse University. In venues through the northeast she has shared a stage with the likes of Dawes, Erin McCarley, and The Spring Standards. In September 2010, Sarah independently released a full-length album, Vertical Lines. The album depicts a journey of maturation; the ups and downs of life. Each track adds its own life to the story of Vertical Lines.
