What do you get when you combine awe-inspiring vocals, complicated guitar riffs, beautiful piano melodies, growls and howls from the mouth of Lucifer, pulse-pounding bass, and insane drum choreography? Sarcoid Torsion, a new progressive/metal band from Port St. Lucie Florida.
When Singer/Songwriter/Keyboardist Sarah (Sassy) Paglione became numb from the towns same old repetitive music, She knew it was time to unleash her anger and ideas upon the world. This year was the time to start something new. She began to form the band in the beginning of 2008, but when members lacked the musical ability she had been searching for, her hopes for this amazing sound were subjugated.
Upon a search for a bass player, she was introduced to guitarist Nate Flores whose ideas matched her own and they suddenly clicked with overwhelming inspiration for this project. Joining Flores was Branden Anderson, another guitarist who had previously worked with Flores on other musical projects. After many member changes and struggles the band was finally complete in January 2010 with the joining of members Chris Hernandez on drums, Daniel Locke on bass, and Drew Patrick as backup vocals/screams/ and extra percussion. Ian DeHass replaced Branden Anderson on guitars in October 2010, and Chris Hernandez left the band in October 2010.
