Sarít grew up in the small Illinois town of Wilmette. When growing up music was never a far reach. Her parents were avid music listeners being big fans of The Rolling Stones, Cat Stevens, Fleetwood Mac and Led Zepplin; just to name a few.After discovering her mom’s 1976 ct classic acoustic Gibson, in the depths of a coat closet, at age 13, Sarit could never leave music alone! She fell in love!Once she taught herself to play several basic chords and writing a few songs Sarít took every chance she could get to play in front of an audience. She steadily grew a decent local fan base. Her first album she simply messed around on Garageband to recording it in her dorm room her senior year at Earlham College. The album was titled "Honest Passion (Acoustic Fun)" and was released on iTunes in 2006. It was her first release under the name SOUL. As soon as she received a positive response for Honest Passion (Acoustic Fun) she decided that she would continue to pursue a music. She changed her artist name to Sarít. It is her Hebrew name given to her when she was a baby and meant much more to her. Now at 30 Sarít plans to perform as much as she can next to being a Special Ed teacher!
