About Script of Flood

Helsinki, Finland

We’d like to introduce you a song, ladies and gentleman. A song about getting forward and what you lost along your way. A song about how love kind of disappears after three days. You know, a song about childish faith and silver linings? Actually ladies and gentleman, that song is three parts under the context ‘You Can Make It There’ and the narrator is a band from Helsinki, Finland. Originally started as the singer Pexi’s solo project but soon expanded into a band, Script of Flood has been around since 2002.

After years of rehearsing, playing live shows and making demos the band recorded their debut album. ’Cue To Exit’ was released in 2007 and it was produced by T.T. Oksala but it only achieved moderate success. The music video of the first single ‘Replica’ gained some airplay on MTV and national TV-channels but the band was not happy with the promotion of the album.

The music of the Script of Flood had always been described as metal influenced hard rock but after the debut album the band started to feel uneasy with the categorization. The new material was more subtle and mellow yet the soul and the subjects remained the same. In 2008 the band had made a bunch of songs that they decided to record. ‘You Can Make It There’ is dealing the new Script of Flood in a sophisticated manner. Never mind the overly positive title ladies and gentleman, it’s a metaphor. Listen to the songs.
