Each of us comes from a unique variety of musical backgrounds. Chris grew up in a home that bled soul music and diverse musical culture. To live in his house and not be into creating music is pretty much damn near impossible. In every corner of the Ruzika household there is some sort of musical instrument lying around or speakers blasting something to make the house have a pulse. Each of us comes from a unique variety of musical backgrounds. Chris grew up in a home that bled soul music and diverse musical culture. To live in his house and not be into creating music is pretty much damn near impossible. In every corner of the Ruzika household there is some sort of musical instrument lying around or speakers blasting something to make the house have a pulse. Chris’s dad and brother both play guitar or bass and sing, so drums were basically his only option for the family jams to be complete. He’s been playing drums since he was 12 and has been in numerous projects/bands over the years. Patrick’s mother and father were involved with the church folk group. He bounced around from the cello to the piano, violin to the french horn, then landed on the guitar in high school. He’s been singing for as long as he can remember. Scotty was also born into a household of musical culture. With his Mom and Brother both being musicians, Scott picked up both singing and piano with lessons and classes over the years. Tom’s father used to play in a band when he was young man, so music flows through his blood. He started when he was 7 playing percussion instruments for the school band yet his desire for playing music and thirst for learning led him to take on the trumpet. He first saw his friends playing at talent shows, covering the song “Hit or Miss” by New Found Glory and instantly realized being a musician was his passion. Tom then purchased a guitar and taught himself how to play, taking him through many bands including former band Drawn in The Sky. We’re all from Long Island New York, Pat (Guitar/Vocals) grew up in Bayville, Chris (Drums) is from Wantagh, and both Scotty (Keyboards/Synth/Vocals) and Tom (Bass/Vocals) are from Levittown.
