“Fly me to the moon, let me sing among those stars” croons Simavi, hailed as the “new Frank Sinatra” by the New York Observer. Simavi’s smooth presentation of beloved American standards has thrilled live and TV audiences from New York to Florida and beyond. Simavi is one of the preeminent pop singers of his generation. For over three decades, he has performed with a plethora of stars in Music and Television. Simavi has taken the stage with his unique spin on classics and standards at some of the world’s most revered music arenas, including New York’s Lincoln Center, Florence Gould Hall, The Lighthouse, Joe’s Pub and Florida’s Hamlet Country Club. He has also wowed audiences on T.V. and Radio, appearing on the Joe Franklin, Jim Lowe, Dorothy Dunne, and David Kenney Shows. This renowned singer has risen to heights of critical acclaim and touched a loyal fan base, but his story and inimitable talent have very humble roots. Some of his earliest, fondest memories involve family and music. “My father loved Johnny Mathis,” recalls Simavi. “My mom loved pop music and listening to records with my parents really helped develop my love and interest in music.” From there, he taught himself to play piano, sparking a life-long fondness for the standards. After graduating from college, Simavi debuted as a solo performer at the United Nations. The comparisons to “Ol’ Blue Eyes” were immediate. Soon, the legends of the music industry began to take notice of his considerable talent. Now, relying on arrangements from such masters as Quincy Jones, Johnny Mandel, Nelson Riddle, & Billy May, along with stellar contributions from a wondrous fifty piece orchestra, Simavi has executive-produced Memories Of You, an album honoring legendary pop songs from throughout the ages. His debut masterpiece includes the classics his fans know and love, from “ Fly Me To The Moon “ to “ The Way You Look Tonight “, as well as little known gems like “Love Looks So Well On You”, “To The Ends Of The Earth”, and “Tell Her You Love Her”. As a bonus, Memories Of You is an enhanced CD, and features a video of a live performance from Simavi at Lincoln Center in New York City ( viewable on any DVD or CDRom player ). Available through Amazon.com, CDBaby.com, and iTunes.com, Memories Of You is a compilation to be treasured for years to come.
