Situation Red started in the fall of 2009 when Opie ( bass / vocals ) and Nick ( guitar / vocals ) got sober and decided to write a bunch of songs about just that . Opie had been jammimg a few songs with Matt ( drums ) and Nick had been jamming a few with him on seperate days . Situation Red started in the fall of 2009 when Opie ( bass / vocals ) and Nick ( guitar / vocals ) got sober and decided to write a bunch of songs about just that . Opie had been jammimg a few songs with Matt ( drums ) and Nick had been jamming a few with him on seperate days . The 3 decided to join forces and unleash a number of songs under the name " Dead Beats " recorded by Jeff Doering formerly of Down Hill Luke . Opie , Nick and Matt decided to ask Jeff who had recently recorded them and was a great lead guitarist to join them and he agreed to. Upon Jeff ( lead guitar / vocals ) joining the band The formula they so desperately had been seeking was complete and their music had a whole new feel and sound . The 4 then released " Three Locks On Every Door " in August of 2010 ranked one of the best E.P. releases in Cincinnati by City Beat magazine . The four piece continues to play hard locally and regionally hoping to obtain friends and fans who enjoy their music . They will be releasing another album in 2011 and hope to release many more ....
