Brooklyn Born Rick Morales A.K.A SK or Skeptic was raised in a musical environment with his grandfather at classical guitar, his father at lead guitar, piano and latin percussion, and his uncle at piano, drums and bass. Exposed to songwriting and recording at an early age he was already a natural. Growing up in Urban NY hip hop music was the voice of his generation and naturally he fell right into place. Producer, Artist, Songwriter, Choreographer are some of the titles he casually wields with music production being the favorite. After being enveloped in a sample based culture, young Rick wanted to separate himself from the usual, vowing to "become the sample" following in the footsteps of his elders. As a result his music is completely composed from scratch, often resulting in live bass, live piano, original drum programming, percussion fills, and luscious string harmonies blending together to form a sound that can only be described as progressive, unique, and Hip-Hop! By the age of 17 Rick has successfully expanded his horizons by being recruited to a professional dance troupe, specializing in the Mambo ON2 NY style of latin dance. He is a self taught Audio Engineer and is actively experimenting with different genre's from Metal, to Dance/House to Reggae to audio for Video Games and Film. No Producer in the history of Hip Hop is this well rounded, or comes from a lineage so deeply ingrained in music.
