They will sponsor his upcoming “Live For Music 50/50 Tour” the tour will be traveling to over 50 locations and support “Save Music Programs” in the school system.
Shaun’s years of perseverance, hard work and passion for his musical craft have recently begun to pay dividends in the form of numerous local, regional and national accolades, including booking a 50 city school tour, composing an original song for a Pepsi commercial, performing with teen sensation Greyson Chance, winning a Gold AVA award as co-producer of the TV show "Vivir Bailando", and winning $30,000 for receiving most votes in a UK Music Slice the Pie Contest.
After several years of creating and test driving new material and recording demos, Shaun is recording his full-length CD, “Chapter 1” which will debut in June 2012 with veteran producers Brian Yaskulka (Hollywood’s legendary 7th Level Studios) and Lamar Van Sciver (Timbaland, Interscope Records). Early tracking efforts revealed Shaun’s musical growth and maturity as well as his passion for spawning edgy, pocket-heavy tracks with effusive energy for incredible commercial potential. Early spring of 2012 Shaun is hard at work shooting the video for his single release “Live for Music” with heralded LA-based filmmaker Dane Larsen (A Common Thread Productions). This pulsating track features Shaun’s signature heavy rhythmic groove punctuated by epic vocal melodies and monstrously saturated power chords. The video and single will be released May 19th.
Shaun is an artist known for flawless vocals and writing skills, but wanted to further develop his unique pop sound and artistry. In April 2012 he realized this goal during his Seventh Level studio sessions with singular Engineer/Producer Brian Yaskulka: the result will show off his familiar vocals but an updated version of the signature Shaun Canon sound in his Summer 8 song EP release “Chapter 1.” Audiences will be able to experience a preview of this album with his 2 pre-release singles “Live For Music” and “A More Meaningful Life” which are set to be released in May 2012.
After what seems like a lifetime of paying dues at the indie level, Shaun has finally come into this own as a major player and is now set to break out nationally with a his second “Live For Music tour” scheduled for early September. Keep an eye on Shaun as he embarks upon this phase of his orchestrated coup de grâce on the musical status quo.
