James “Sliz” Reese is an industry success story. After opening for established artists such as DMX, Chingy, Lil Kim, Young Gunz, Freeway and many more, he was able to turn his connections into a career. Sliz was able to crack top 40 urban video charts with his 2001 offering “Moveout” (reached number 33 on urban video charts) and his 2003 video for the clip “Fallback”(reached number 26 on urban video charts). After his success in the states, Sliz traveled abroad all over Europe as an opening act for ex Mtume member Paul Shabazz who at the time had a top ten song in Europe. Upon returning to the states, Sliz decided to try his hand at acting. After a spirited reading with Academy Award nominee Paul Sorvino, Sliz landed his first small role alongside The Legendary RZA (of WuTangClan). “The Trouble With Cali”, starring and directed by Paul Sorvino is scheduled to be released next spring. After catching the acting bug, Sliz penned his first novel “Honor Among Thugs” soon to be released by Truth Publishing a subsidiary of his newly formed Truth Media Group. Sliz is also an up and coming producer, producing tracks for hometown artist from his city of Philadelphia like Yeez the Barbarian. Sliz under the surname SlizBeats produced the single “Stax On Deck” for Yeez and also appeared on the hook. With all this under his belt Sliz finds time in his busy schedule to run Truth Management another umbrella division of Truth Media Group with the hottest new artist in Philly right now F-Chain(Mr. Slicktalk). Truth Management also has Shellz of Decatur Georgia on the roster and Jb of Houston Texas as well. In House Producer 19 year old Phenom AllStar of Harrisburg Pennsylvania has his own budding career having landed placements with T-pain, Rick Ross, Gorilla Zoe, Ciara, Flo-Rida, and Missy Elliot to name a few.
Always hard at his original craft Sliz plans to drop Superstar Stunna vol 1 in mid Feb on his own Truth Media Group imprint. Truth Media Group or TMG as the world will soon know them as is a force to be reckoned with from the CEO Sliz right down to the artists. Its not just a company it’s a movement.
