ALL ABOUT "SLO" Octavis "SLO" Nash was born in Georgia on October 21. Only staying in GA a few years, he later moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where he began his reign on music. SLO began rapping in junior high school with an inspiring friend which later made up the group "DUCE DEEP." They used to record over other artist instrumentals and write to them, then they would perform the songs at many talent shows and house parties throughout the midwest. By high school they lost touch and SLO found himself once again a solo artist. Along with the shows and continuous writing, he meets "QUE' Ball and J-Stro then formed an independent label "SUICIDAL RECORDS" and group "SUICIDAL." SUICIDAL recorded their first EP in the summer of 98 titled "I Got Questions." The group was able to move about 500 units on cassette. Performing shows once a month at the Capri Auditorium and hosting after party's to build up a reputation in the city, SUICIDAL followed up with a full length CD in the summer of 99 titled "Ghetto Dreams" which sold about 900 units. LEME O LIVE, an underground talk show in the city, helped spread the word about the new group. When SLO finished high school he decided to move back to Georgia to shop for a deal. He researched a few independent and major labels to seek information on what they had to offer and what they were looking for. He wasn't satisfied with what they had to offer, it wasn't what he was looking for at that time so back to Minnesota it was. SLO then bumped into a friend of his past, Professa, and began recording his solo album out of Rob's studio (CEO OF LIFESTYLE RECORDS) and at the same time negotiating signing with his label "LIFESTYLE RECORDS"; In the meantime, SLO and Professa were doing shows and some lightweight promotion. By the end of his album “EFIL” SLO had a show in the Bay Area set up by his brother of "KEYON PRODUCTINS" at SPACE 550 in San Francisco. Because of the response, SLO and his friends decided to start their own shit and give 110% at becoming one of the world's hottest record companies. They began in CALIFORNIA(The Bay Area), where SLO was able to learn some of the independent business side of music. SLO then returned back home to Minnesota to spend a short period of time with his family and friends, then SLO began to slip back into the street activity. SLO's good friend “Solo” then said to SLO"F**k that BULLSH!T and F**k them Ni99as the street game ain't what you wanna do, your love is your music for the people not even for you, two things can happen with the bullshit you getting back into DEATH or JAIL!" SLO then put one in the AIR ...., and SOLO continued to encourage SLO by saying "if they not wih you they can get left!". Solo's brother SAINT Outlaw(Mr.100) presented a demo to Mr. Marjani(AKA PIMP SNOOKY) in which he heard the single "BALLA BABY" and offered SLO to come to Milwaukee and perform at the Grand Opening of his 1st and Only Las Vegas Style V.I.P Lounge “MARJANI” amongst basketball players, football players, community representatives, and people from cities MIAMI, NEW YORK, & ATLANTA. Upon the show being successful SAINT & Snooky gave SLO the opportunity to further his career by offering him a MILLION DOLLAR CONTRACT based solely on his attention, his loyalty, his word as a MAN, his dedication to write good music for the people and to BE the Truth. Then SAINT & SNOOKY was talkin some shit i didn't understand what the hell they was talking bout. Then snooky came and said, man you ready? i just looked at him "like nigga, what the fuck you talking bout" Snooky said "You start now and you leave now, You dont go back to Minnesota if you start now!" I was like "man, i got to go see my people." Then after some time I told SNOOKY Let's Go! Then we left and went to SNOOKY & SAINT'S MANSION in Las Vegas, NEVADA, SNOOKY then said "This is where we live, This is where we WORK!", "The first $200,000 will be your TOUR to introduce you to the WORLD, That is what i can do for you!". While in Nevada SLO realized how much he didn't know about the business side of the music industry. Toward the end of his hibernation SLO felt he was ready to show his hometown Minneapolis, MN and surrounding areas he was Winin. Mr. Marjani then provided SLO with his own National Promotional Tour and his own Personal DJ from Milwaukee, WI (DJ L. Boogie) “THE UM WININ TOUR” featuring National Recording Artists T.I, Lil Wayne, Shawna from D.T.P, 8Ball and MJG & B.G these events were covered by OZONE MAGAZINE, & ECDE Entertainment/Magazine. Now both SLO and his friends are still learning and growing and also building their Corporations. Implementing all of their time and efforts into "GET RIGHT RECORDS INC." first major album "Um Winin".
