Smiles Andrew Gardner better known as Smiles, was born on August 11, 1989 in Miami Florida at Jackson Memorial Hospital to his parents from the islands of Jamaica and Haiti. Cutler Ridge City created the rising star in Smiles, as he was noticed for his talents in football, track, and his way with words and rhythm, it was certain he was a young artist in the making, but he took music as a hobby instead. The city was shinning with his many victories, and rewards. By the time he was in the eighth grade his parents were ready to get their children out of the high crime rate city and move to the more subtle Country Walk area where he attended Coral Reef Senior High for his freshmen year, a year which also brought him to another talent of being a Dj for the livest parties hosted by Deuce Mob, this talent gave his reputation a huge boost and even attracted people for his drive in football. Smiles attended Sunset Senior High from his sophomore year to his senior, where his name only shined brighter as he became a district winner several times on the track team. During the 2006 District Competition Smiles made history at Sunset Senior High being a part of the district champion team. After graduating from high school Smiles attended Becker College in Worcester, MA where he played a year of college football. After he returned to Miami for the summer in 2008, Smiles was blessed with an opportunity to take the stage in the showcase Club Tuckers, in presences of Larry Dogg, Grind Mode and Piccalo all big name club banggers with reputations for brining crowds to their wildest peaks. Smiles took this as a reality check for what his future truly was to be. With that his head was then focused on the rap game teaming up with his determined manager Mack, and including other Deuce Mob members standing firmly beside him. Smiles has defined his music as “mood music”, which gives the story that he tells within the words he speaks a different story from any other that has been told. The goal in continuing in his arrival in the music industry is presenting himself through his music completely in truth, and knowing when his fans have the chance to meet him they see the same person they grew to understand. Smiles is about to bring Dade County and the entire Miami back on the map, get ready, it’s going to be a movie.
