So Good Sunday was a long time in the making, perhaps it all started back in June of 2004 when Sevon Oswald and Grant Shoop started a band known as Alternate Ending with Ryan Hermann and Alex Andreason . That band broke up, and Sevon and Grant went on to form Double S-7 along with Jason Greenfield. Double S-7 found some level of success playing in different venues throughout the Provo/Orem and Salt Lake City areas. After a while Jason left for another band and was replaced by Dan Greenfield. Later, the three of them decided to change the name of the band to So Good Sunday. They were later joined by a second guitarist, Dallan Barnhurst, and continued to find some success in many of the smaller venues. Dallan eventually had to leave the band because of musical differences and So Good Sunday went back to being a three-piece group, but not for long. In November of 2010 Preston Tregaskis began joining in on some of So Good Sunday's practices, and by the end of December he was made a permanent member of the band, playing his first show with them the following month.
