Soliloquise uses traditional folk instruments including acoustic guitar, fiddle and accordian combined with layered celtic vocals in what she calls a " celtic cacophony " From the BBC website: "A Celtic cacophony" is what West Walian folk artist Soliloquise is aiming for in her music - unusual for sure. A lot of her work is unusual, however: she has operated very much off her own back, developing her multi-instrumental skills and procuring her various instruments over the years. "I've drawn my experiences from many genres of music," she says, "including folk, ambient and singer-songwriter". Her musical methods include melding together some folk and trad sounds with "haunting melodies and tribal drumming" which make her debut album something of some interest to Celtic music fans. Released by Celtic specialists BeAGoddessMusic, Stripped Naked And Smiling has garnered some praise, with comparisons to the likes of P J Harvey and Joni Mitchell. Her follow-up album is due for release in early 2008.
