Solo born SHERRIE CAMPBELL, a Baltimore native,grew up on Park Heights and garrison.Living with her Grandma and four aunts and two uncles.Her uncle Kevin a.k.a Ke-bone was a house party dj back in the late seventies early eighties.This would be her first taste and love for music.She started singing at the age of five to old supreme songs and favored Patti Labelle as one of her idols.Her love for rap or hip-hop came when she moved to Owings Mills (Baltimore county).Where she meet a friend she would know for life Socorro Jones.Solo was in seventh grade when she wrote her first rap with Socorro called Pink Flowers depicting all the troubles of our ancestors who were covered in pink flowers.With musical influences from Mc Lyte,NWA,Money Love,Salt n Peppa, Ghetto Boys, and the X klan.It was evident that hip=hop is where she belonged.With a growing interest in WU-TANG KLAN she began her quest for the ultimate musical group power house.The name NGN given as a idea from a good friend Rock,meaning the next generation of niggas she went on her mission.Meeting along the way Qtip which would soon become her best friend and partner,NGN had begun.The group NGN has grown over the years some have left and new people have come but one fact remains to hold true today.QTIP and SOLO.Solo has done many shows from Baltimore to NY, to Atlanta,she has been on stage sense the age of five.She has done the 92q all school salute and won,gay pride two years in a roll and will do it again 2009.She has done 92q block party 2007 with TIM TREES,GILLIE THE KID ,and a host of others.she has done shows at THE IGLOO,CLUB ONE,ROCK THE RUNWAY 2 AUDITIONS IN ATL, Crocodile Rock Cafe,TALENT SHOWS ,Baltimore Apollo,TOWSON STATE UNIVERSITY,and will be opening for GILLIE THE KID AND BOBBY CREEK,SOLO also has a large following from Baltimore to Florida.She has also been on 88.9 Audio Fusion,and performed for .BALTIMORE IDOL at PADONIA STATION HOSTED BY MICKEY from 98 rock, and came in fourth place out of 150 people,and a host of other shows.Solo truly believes that music in any genre in anyway done by anyone is the most powerful expression of who we are and you can measure ones life on it.So famous or not i am a legend in my own time and mind.......but aren't we Myspace Backgrounds
