The band, with its brand of no-nonsense, no frills rock, has already created a buzz on the local scene. The group’s anticipated debut album will be completed soon.
The foundation for the group was laid when Mark enlisted Kurt to track vocals on the song “Redline,” an infectious hard rock smash. Hooking up with Kurt and bassist/songwriter Gor proved to be the ultimate catalyst for creativity and took their working relationship to the next level. The line-up was complete with the addition of Pete Manzella on guitar, also a fixture on the local scene, and Dominic Brazzale on drums. Combined with their shared love of music and insatiable desire to get better and better, the band has succeeded in creating kick ass in-your-face rock music. Each member brought to the table their different musical tastes and disparate personalities, adding to their inimitable style.
For Sonic Pistol, it’s about serving the music, which has earned them the praise of their contemporaries and captured the attention of music fans in Chicago. Through the various stylistic changes each band member has undergone while performing in many diverse bands, the backbone of Sonic Pistol’s sound was formed - thunderous rhythms and inescapable guitar riffs! After seeing one of the band’s performances, the uncompromising attitude and unique quality of Sonic Pistol is clearly evident as they bring their high energy to the stage.
Mark Rebecchi is a founding member and guitarist/vocalist of the rock band Madahari. Kurt Wollert has been the driving force behind the bands Driven, Insidiots and Alterior Motives, among others. Pete Manzella was also a member and principle collaborator of Driven. In addition to playing bass in Madahari, Gor has recently collaborated with DJ Sabeo in The Living Me and has shared bass guitar duties with Mark in the band Dr. V.
