One of the USA's fastest growing acts, SoundSick has burst onto the music scene equipped with a catchy, upbeat, progressive cross-genre style, musical versatility and a wide array of influences ranging from Hip-Hop and R&B to Country and Rock n' roll. SoundSick is a Minneapolis Based Hip hop group with crossover musical appeal. The group is formed of two rappers (RoyaleStar and J Watts) and two singers (K City and Chrishan) and brings a sound, style, and appeal that is progressive and trendsetting. “Our group has everything needed to make a hot track. We have a very lyrical rapper, a pop-style rapper, a soulful singer, and a pop singer, but all have the appeal to crossover” says J Watts of SoundSick. What is very unique about SoundSick is all of the music they make is all done in-house meaning all the songs are produced by, written by, and mixed/ mastered by the group members. “We all produce, write, and understand music. I think that’s why everyone can relate, I mean, from the kid going to school every day to that person working a 9 to 5, the music is universal because people can feel the music” says RoyaleStar of SoundSick. These guys can really rock the crowd and after a show done with twin cities radio station B96 popular radio personality B Wright raved “They are the truth and the music is hot”. There style, unique swag, and presence are unrivaled and they possess the star quality to put Minnesota on the map. “We are all natural entertainers, so no matter what arena or field we enter we demand the attention of everyone around us” says K City of SoundSick. There is something special about this group and it appears they are unlike anything seen breaking into the music game. “When you know you know, I’ve been in the industry for years and have a lot of solo songs that have been successful, but the vibe the group brings something different” Says Chrishan of SoundSick whose solo videos have had over 3 million views on youtube. SoundSick’s internet buzz is unrivaled using numerous websites and blogs to make the world take notice and although the groups less than a year old it has a growing resume including performances with day 26, Fat Joe, Three six mafia, and appeared in the B96 Rip the runway show, made an appearance in the Ed hardy Fashion show and more. “These guys are going to be one of the biggest acts in music, mark my words” says Joe Watson the manager of the Group. SoundSick currently has a sampler on itunes called Welcome to SoundSick: The Introduction and will be releasing an LP in the summer of 2009. It is apparent SoundSick will be setting trends and making the ladies melt for years to come, look for them to produce billboard chart hits in the future.
