THE ARTIST Born November 11 Jabari Burley. He was raised off cascade on south Gordon, and in Oakland City. From there he then moved to Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. Jae-B and his family have lived on the Westside of Atlanta his whole life. Growing up on the Westside of Atlanta presented many obstacles and traps that he and his siblings were exposed to, that would have hurt his future, such as the typical drug dealing, robbing, and being on drugs. However Jae-B was smarter then the average hood youngster and indulged himself in extra curricular activities such as sports. His participation in these activities limited him from being in the wrong place at the wrong time. His greatest musical influences are OutKast, the notorious B.I G, Bone Thugs n’ Harmony, Tupac, Marvin Gaye. He captivates people with his story telling about everyday life situations either if it is about his life or his intake on people around him. At an early age Jae-B realized that he had a passion for music even if it’s rapping, singing or just listening to music for extra inspiration. Growing up his love for music continued to brew and by the age of 14 he began rapping and making beats. He began his career rapping with a group called 430. After that he joined a group called Stack Boys. There hit single “I Got Money” got citywide love in Atlanta as well as some radio play. Soon there after the group went their separate ways and he went solo. Since he has been solo he has been recognized for his unique word plays and catch melodies that grabs the audience attention, and keeps them holding on for his next punch line. He looks to motivate the audience to find themselves and help them be better people. Jae- B songs usually get better and better by the day because he always looks to find a better way to deliver his rhymes to stand out in front of today’s best artist. He prides himself on not limiting the type of music he does and the way it is delivered. You might hear him with a lot of melody in his rap or you might hear none with straight metaphor, and he does that to keep the fans interested in his music. Jae-B will do music from rock n roll R&B and of course Hip Hop.
