I went on to get my bachelor's degree from Florida State University in trombone performance and my master's degree at Peabody Conservatory of music, where I later joined the faculty. I've had the privilege of working with some of the true greats, such as, Wynton Marsalis, Yo-Yo Ma, Stevie Wonder, Patti LaBelle, Aretha Franklin, Dave Brubeck, and many others. Various orchestral appointments and years of freelancing kept me busy, but I missed writing and performing my original music. So, I resigned all my playing and teaching posts and moved to Tampa, Florida with my wife and kids to do just that. The rest of the story is yet to be written...
