The band Still Tickin formed when Rich Budde (vocalist/guitarist from Waterloo, Ia) met up with Derek Marlowe (drummer from Cedar Rapids, Ia) while Rich was at Kirkwood Community College. The band Still Tickin formed when Rich Budde (vocalist/guitarist from Waterloo, Ia) met up with Derek Marlowe (drummer from Cedar Rapids, Ia) while Rich was at Kirkwood Community College. The two immediately formed a musical bond. They would jam writing songs here and there. The summer of 2006 they found Ben Harmon (guitarist/vocalist from Cedar Rapids, Ia) and all hell broke loose. Constantly writing and learning new material, playing their first show at Fourth and Main in Cedar Falls. They played a couple of shows after that without bass guitar and needed more sound. Josh Way (bassist/vocalist from Waterloo, Ia) was soon recruited to fill the sound. They wrote some more songs, played some more shows, drank a lot of beer. Come to a show, and you’ll just see. Rock and Roll the way it should be. Influences range from Johnny Cash to early Foo Fighters. Check them out next time they are around, just be ready for a RIOT.
