Having connected deeply with the music, SubData returned to the West Coast (originally from California) in search of that unique Drum&Bass sound that encompassed legendary labels such as: Moving Shadow, Renegade Hardware, Metalheadz, and LTJ Bukem’s Good Looking. After attending many California raves up and down the coast, SubData began to organize and headline “underground” or “renegade” parties while offering a track-list loaded with records produced by those who have come to be known as the planet’s drum&bass pioneers: Goldie / Optical / Ed Rush / Paradox / Dillinja / Future Forces Inc. / R.A.W. / SourceDirect / Alpha Omega / Arcon2 / Photek / Alaska / Peshay / and many more…. ….SubData has assumed many aliases in his numerous years as a DJ: Unit 222, Psyop, DJ Dose, & Data; in addition, he has been a fixture at countless events for promoters such as Junglist Militia / ClockWork / CorporateShadowFiles / DualDiagnosis / & PacificArtCollective… however- suddenly one day, he disappeared from the scene… nowhere to be found. It was the summer of 2005 when the artist resurfaced and SubData was born. SubData’s evolution in name and spirit has aided him to finally achieve the production phase of his creativity.
