SWEETLO

The band's name SWEETLO appeared as a play of words "sweet" and Ukrainian "svitlo" which means "light". In such way they describe their music and concept. Light can be soft and tender, bright and aggressive and the same is about the band, trying to combine in perfect harmony various emotions and sounds. This is what they mean with sweetlo-rock. The band's name SWEETLO appeared as a play of words "sweet" and Ukrainian "svitlo" which means "light". In such way they describe their music and concept. Light can be soft and tender, bright and aggressive and the same is about the band, trying to combine in perfect harmony various emotions and sounds. This is what they mean with sweetlo-rock. SWEETLO was formed in Kiev, Ukraine, by members of the band Gorod Solntsa (City of the Sun) in October 2008. Two years later their debut album #1 was released. At the same time SWEETLO was working on soundtracks to a several documentaries by Sergey Dolbilov. They wrote music for his movies about Klitchko brothers, Shakhtar FC and the events of 2004-2005 in Ukraine known as Orange revolution. Currently SWEETLO is an official music partner of Mix-fight League "M-1 Ukraine". The band played numerous gigs across Ukraine and in February 2012 they released EP "Give me a miracle" which you can listen in their profile.
