BREIF HISTORY I was born and raised in Washington, DC in 1983. During those years coming up I remember listening and seeing my father singing in the church choir. I looked at my father as a renaissance musician. I remember listening to artist like LL Cool J, Cool Moe D just to name a few. I would have never imagined how much they would influence me to go for my destiny to become an artist. That's when Hip Hop was really delivering a message. There was no beefing during those times and the competition was real hip hop music. I knew with hard work and determination I would become one of those great Icons. WHEN IT ALL STARTED I started rapping at the age of seven right around the time Ice Cube came out with Amerikkas Most Wanted. Also that year I was exposed to being in the studio. By being in the studio I was able to meet a variety of producers under Inner Loop Production. With that exposure I was able to critique my music and become a more significant songwriter. I believe music is an art that takes perseverance, prayer and perfect timing. Becoming an artist to me is more than rapping, it is about culture and upward mobility to overcome obstacles. This is what makes me a well rounded artist. That's why the name "SYCE" is a name that will soon turn heads in the music industry.
