Tara’lynn “Nicole” Brown, With a stage presence that's both energizing and soul-soothing, Tara’lynn blends classic styles in unexpected ways. With her great personality Tara’lynn Nicole will win hearts all over the world. As with the legendary voices of those predecessors who've inspired her, Taralynn’s vocals can seem hauntingly familiar one minute and incomparable the next. Tara’lynn Nicole was born on January 25, 1989 in Paterson, NJ the oldest of two girls and was raised by her single mother Rachel Jones. She began singing in church – a focal point of her childhood and a place where she sought and found acceptance, strength and inspiration. As a young girl, Tara’lynn was inspired not only by her family, but her church (House of Prophecies & Prayer Church, located in Norwalk , Connecticut). Tara’lynn’s first steps into a career in music first began when she enrolled into the School of Fine & Performing Arts (Paterson, New Jersey), where her exceptionally caring teachers sensed unusual potential and intervened with special guidance and personal encouragement that helped carry her forward. It was this guidance that helped her to win a State wide High School competition sponsored by the Delta Mu Lambda Fraternity, this competition began with over 40 vocalist from High Schools in Northern New Jersey. Winning this competition landed Tara an audition with Atlantic Records (Warner Music Group), an opportunity that she’ll always cherish. Soon thereafter she won a city-wide vocal competition and now holds the title (Paterson’s Idol). In an attempt to become a familiar name as a rising R&B artist, Tara has tirelessly moved throughout the NY, NJ, & CT. Metropolitan area performing at venues ranging from festivals, clubs, artist showcases & open mics. The 19 year old recent High School graduate has dreams of becoming a professional artist; with hopes of her success will one day allow her to help others. “I want my voice to give strength in a time of despair”.
