“Chizzle” born Christopher Charles Harris and formerly known by the moniker Wild Child never saw music coming by a long shot. It wasn’t until the age of 15 that rapping had become apart of his makeup. In fact, his dream was to become an architect. Chizzle didn’t recognize music as a passion early on though it had always been around him. His older brother and cousin were aspiring artists while Chizzle was just an adolescent. One day everything suddenly changed. Chizzle found himself on his way to becoming an aspiring artist. It was during his days at Dorsey High School when one particular day after school he and his buddies stumbled up on an instrumental cassette Chizzle’s older brother had left behind in the house. Boys will be boys so they began a freestyle session all in the name of fun, but there was something unusual about how young Chris Harris did his thing. What started out as a joke and just “clowning around” became a serious matter when Chizzle’s friends started noticing he was a natural at this. Friends of Chizzle would draw crowds beat boxing, banging on tables, walls, or just about anything that a beat can be made with to spark up freestyle sessions just hear him do his thing and drew a lot of support from friends. With a few years of practice of perfecting his craft under his belt, in 2003 upon graduating from Dorsey High, Chizzle made a full commitment to becoming a Hip-Hop Star. Knowing the hard road ahead of him to accomplish that goal has not deterred him one bit. He’s no stranger to hard work, as he walked a hard road just to graduate high school. Most of his teenage life Chizzle often bounced around from pillar to post because financial problems were often the norm for him and his family. "I'd say we bounced around ever since I hit junior high", Chizzle recollects. Going from East L.A. to West L.A., from Watts to Compton watching his mom struggle to keep food on the table only fueled Chizzle to find a way out. Instead of turning to the streets he turned to music. His hardships and struggles growing up partnered with an undeniable drive has pushed him into the man he has become today. "When I was in high school we lived in homeless shelters, a condemned apartment, and even motels but I was determined to finish school no matter what. Most people in my situation would've dropped out, but when I make my mind up to do something, consider it done. I knew that if I could do that I could do anything". Chizzle’s hunger for greatness has taken him from a student of the game to a lyrical monster. Chizzle incorporates west coast street life and finesses them with an east coast style of flow. He lists DJ Quik, Eminem, Pac and Jay-Z among others as major inspirations and influences on his style. This formula has created a lane for Chizzle to display his talents for masses of audiences. He has performed all over the L.A. area with a memorable performance with The Dove Shack as an opening act for one of hip-hop's legends, Too-Short. He has intrigued fans as well as fellow artists who have offered their voices on a number of songs with the up and comer, such as 2 Scoop of “The Dove Shack” ("Summertime In The L.B.C.”), Kurupt & Roscoe of D.P.G, Ras Kass, & Eastwood among others. He has appeared in The Source Magazine(Jan/Feb 2010) & XXL Magazine April (2010) promoting a compilation project entitled The Movement with features from Young Jeezy, Yukmouf and many more. Now is definitely Chizzle’s time to shine. Look for Chizzle to make a lot of noise now and in the many years to come.
