Teeze was formed in February of 1990 by Alex Tyler, who had got a gig before even having a band. This prompted quick action into contacting friends who played instruments. Alex Diamond on drums, Dan Szkola on lead/rhythm guitar & Billie Ghetts on lead/rhythm guitar. With only 2 months before the gig, the band worked quickly on rehearsing covers, writing & recording original songs for their debut. They recorded the demo Windy City Rock in March 1990. The demo was very low budget & not very high in quality. "Due to the amount of time & money we had before the gig, we pretty much did everything in one or two takes." - Alex Tyler. April 14, 1990, The 1st gig was played at Skateland Roller Skating Rink in Friendship, Wisconsin. Immediately after, the band continued rehearsing & writing new material, but due to the distance & living on college campus, Dan Szkola couldn't make half of the rehearsals which resulted in the band seeking out new lead guitarist Joe Schnoebelen. With Joe on board, the band rehearsed & started playing out in the Chicagoland area. In August of 1992, Teeze went into the studio to record their self titled debut album, but half way through the session the recording studio closed its doors & for no apparent reason the band called it quits leaving the album unfinished. Soon after the break up, Alex Tyler asked some friends from other bands to back him as Teeze in hopes of getting a new line up together, but after playing & searching he eventually gave up & moved on to join local band Siin as their bass player. In 2003 Alex Tyler dug out the old master tapes, completed the Teeze album & In 2007 signed a deal with Retrospect Records & was released on February 1, 2008. As a result of the release, the band has reunited & has been performing in support of the release. Most recently the band has started work on a new album of heavier music entitled "Full Force" expected to come out late summer of 2011. The current line up consists of Alex Tyler (Vocals, bass), Dan Szkola (Guitar), P.J. Alvarez (Drums) & Freddie Sosa (Guitar).
