Out from the rubble of common interest in 1994, three high school classmates from Tustin, CA decided that their hobbies of creating music together should be taken to the next level. That’s what John Bain (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Shawn Ascher (Bass/Vocals) and Steve Ellis (Drums) set out to do… and they called it … TENFOLD. With influences stemming from Punk to Alternative Rock and Metal to pop, TENFOLD was able to craft strong songs with a catchy melody that would stick in your head. Throughout the writing process, it was determined that TENFOLD’s genre of music was; strong enough for a man… and also made for a woman! In 1995 TENFOLD launched it’s, "Bored in Tustin" (TenX Music Records) album and aggressively toured the Southern CA circuit. From Sacramento to San Diego (even Mexico), TENFOLD built an impressive following thanks in part to being featured on the Quick Silver surfing video, "Tim Curran - Here and Now". With this, a portal for the globe to experience TENFOLD was opened. Not to be understated, the Aussies took a quick liking as well – Thanks again Timmy! Within the first two years of existence, TENFOLD found themselves growing in popularity and continually playing on bills with local favorites, Lit, John Doe, Home Grown and the Grabbers to name a few. Being young and on a creative high, they kept building their original repertoire of hard rock and catchy melodies. As production on a second album was underway, the band began to feel the pressures of life and the toll of the industry. Personal developments took center stage and realistic decisions were to be made. In short, the band took the course most bands do and by 1996 TENFOLD was a band of the past. Flash forward 15 years! . . . As the members of TENFOLD continued to live, work and socialize in Orange County discussions of a possible reunion loomed during this unplanned hiatus. Discussions turned into action in 2009 with a onetime reunion show. However, with great double speak from John and a year later, he convinced the group to do it all over again. After a second reunion show in 2010 at the House of Blues – Anaheim and adding a second guitarist (Jason Cast), the decision was made to hit the studio and unleash a new album (via TenX Music Records) to confirm what they have always known, but were never vindicated with… a true addition to the list of famed Orange County, CA rock bands. It will all begin with the Album release and release show on July 2nd, 2011 at the House of Blues, Anaheim. From there, we let the smoke settle.
