The religious elite considered him a black sheep, misfit, demoniac, crazy, drunk, outcast, glutton, blasphemer, heretic and so on. When all he simply did was depart from the normal religious lifestyle. He came to fulfill every letter of the law because WE were unable to. And since he has done this for me and the bible says we have the mind of Christ--- 1 Corinthians 2:16 "For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ. . I, too, consider myself "a bastard of the church", following in the footsteps of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. I have always been a misfit in the church and will always beit is how God made me, I will never conform to the church, but I will be transformed by a renewing of my mind.
