The Cellars are a Buffalo-based project exploring what happens when anxiety and the illusion of happiness collide on the surface of the moon Europa. Playing mostly original music, this 3-year-old band mixes driving rock and psychedelic sounds like a child might mix together house paint. With lots of color and paces as diverse as the songs, The Cellars are just trying to figure out if anything is under the ice and, more in the short term, how to get through the day. So far, both goals of the project have ended in complete failure but The Cellars are hoping Hula Girl will get them through - if she sticks around. Coming out of the basement, these songs sometimes take long strides through space and sometimes tap dance through moldy streets. If you're not climbing up a mountain, your falling ass-over-tea-kettle down the side. Musical Influences also include Moderate Success, The Varying Pains of Existence, and Johnny Cash.
