The trio known as The Championz was formed in March 2010 but it seems like they have been together for a long time given the chemistry they display with their music. The Championz consisting of members Ioom Champion, Sheeka, & Juju who upon first seeing them might appear as a Hip Hop group quickly dissolve that general classification as they begin to perform with their depth, diversity, & delivery. The group’s versatility will immediately convince you that there is so much more to them with their music. The Championz by their line-up is unique in that the group is headed by father Ioom Champion along with his teenage daughters Sheeka & Juju who display knowledge and insight far beyond their years. The Championz hope to inspire and impress their audience with emphasizing strength in family unity. The Championz formed out of fate after Ioom Champion returning from a brief hiatus from music decided to build an in-house studio. Upon watching Ioom Champion record, his youngest daughter Juju repeatedly asked if she could write a song for her and her older sister Sheeka. Ioom Champion tested his daughters by allowing them to do a hook on a song titled “Let’s Talk About It” which proved to Ioom Champion that they were naturals & the rest is history. The Championz style is entertaining yet intellectually stimulating. The music is intended to be inspiring to the masses while reaching across multicultural platforms and erasing age limits of the audience that the group seeks to entertain. With blended influences that span decades apart such as Prince, Rick James, Bob Marley, Sugar Hill Gang, Run DMC, Kerri Hilson, Lil Wayne, Trey Songz, Nicki Minaj, & Justin Beiber the Championz have a lot to offer their fans based on their own musical tastes & the positive messages that they bring.
