As an amalgamation of sentiments both odd and intimately conceptual, {the} commuter exit is a transpiring of indefinite schemes of progressive heavy-psych with hints of folk, electronic, world, jazz, and experimental manipulation.  Whether it’s the guitar’s spontaneous blitzkrieg delays, the tapestry of exotic sitar chimes and drones, the idiosyncratic zeal behind the beats, the deep, melodic jive of the bass, the digital architecture of the keys, or the spastic entranced vocals, live shows by {the} commuter exit are works of art in motion. Transcendental themes underline the lyrics by suggesting thought provoking tales and perspectives. The Hip Hop/Soul influenced track, “Prism Key,” exhibits deep, fluid synths, bi-vocal harmonies, and atmospheric guitarscapes that are abruptly toughened with heavy rock riffs. Another fan favorite, the track “Hands of Terrain,” starts with a heavier driving force and a beat that compels involuntary head nods. Presenting precipitations from hidden realms of consciousness, instruments as the means, {the} commuter exit offers more than words can express by manifesting infinite possibilities.
