“Every generation has its favorite pop flavored rock. The '60s had The Monkees, the '70s had Sweet, the '80s had The Cars, the '90s had Barenaked Ladies, and 2009 has The Crash Moderns…Absolute Punk The Crash Moderns, NYC’s stand out Power Pop Rock quintet, have been touring the US Canada and Japan since the 2008 release of their highly anticipated debut full length record, “Goodnight Glamour, Good Morning Disaster”. In just a few short years The Crash Moderns have had the extreme pleasure of sharing the stage with some really great acts such as Bowling for Soup, American Hi-Fi, and The Ataris. The Crash Moderns also landed several sold-out dates with Geffen recording artists Lifehouse. With a sound that is often described as pulling the best of the classic styles of timeless pop bands like The Cars, Elvis Costello and Cheap Trick, coupled with the energy of today’s best modern rock acts, The Crash Moderns are winning over new music fans daily who are buzzing about their infectious melodies and undeniable hooks that stick in your head after just one listen! 2008 and 2009’s constant touring schedule included stand out showcases at Austin’s SXSW Music Festival as well as headlining a high profile show in front of thousands on South Padre Island for the Blender Sessions Spring Break 2008 concerts at the renowned Louie's Backyard. Cartel, Forever the Sickest Kids, and All Time Low were a few of the other bands on the event. In spring 2009, The Crash Moderns first single, “Pimp My Life” was seen and heard across US television sets, as the trailer theme song for the 20th Century Fox movie, “The Rocker”, starring Raiin Wilson. Summer 2009 saw another great achievement as The Crash Moderns were given the incredible honor of traveling to Japan to play for our US troops stationed on the island of Okinawa. After returning home from Japan, The Crash Moderns immediately began working on brand new songs as their follow up to “Goodnight Glamour”. Currently the band is hard at work in the recording studio with producer/engineer Mike Lisa assistant to David Bendeth (Paramore, All Time Low, Mayday Parade). With an exciting 2010 just getting started, The Crash Moderns are looking forward to recording and then begin plans for a full US tour.
