About The Distraction
How do you describe The Distraction? There’s the short version...
“The Distraction consists of raw energy rock, with fist pounding beats that will leave you demanding more. With their seamless connectivity of thick drums over tasteful samples, delightful piano licks over chunky guitars, The Distraction undoubtedly has a way of drawing you in, and keeping you there every second of the way.”
...and the long version...
Representing two cities at the same time, The Distraction is not your typical local band. In fact, they’re far from it. Sure, they started out small, but they are undeniably on the move; and fast. Their music has been heard on local radio, XM radio, and even film; all before releasing their first long player, “Sprockets, Gears, and Two Way Mirrors”, (due out November 2008). They’ve shared the stage with many bands, most notably The Bravery, Ashes Divide, Innerpartysystem, and The Urgency, and have successfully completed two self booked/ promoted regional tours along the east coast and midwest.
