THE GREAT SALT is: Eva Stokes is a lifelong performer/recording artist who has written hundreds of songs and appeared on television in both the UK and the USA. Classically trained from age 5, Eva wrote her first song at age 10 and joined Denver progressive rock band Gnu U at age 14. She went on a solo world tour at age 18 and wound up in England where she was signed by Pete Brown of CREAM fame, who also produced her first album. This led to an offer from a record company in Los Angeles, the story of which is told in her hilarious book “Hollywood Bimbo.” She is the songwriter, pianist and vocalist of The Great Salt. Eric Bamberg is the creator of the ECHO SIX polyphonic siren instrument and is an inventor, composer, arranger, and horn player. His music has been performed internationally by world-class brass groups Blast!, Bones West, The L.A. Tubapros, and Synergy. He is also an aero-space technician who has worked on projects for Jet Propulsion Laboratories, the United States Air Force, and NASA. Current projects include engine sound simulators, low-light, hi-definition video cameras, and valve-less pulse jet engines. He is also engaged in researching ancient aviation and the lost acoustic technology of Atlantis. Eric is The Great Salt’s arranger and bassist. Eric and Eva met on Craigslist.
