Biography

"This band is BAD ASS!" - Tommy Lee (MOTLEY CRUE) The last three months of 2008 were amazing. The Heroine were living a dream of sorts. 2008 from the start was difficult. Breakdowns (not the kind you hear in just about every emo hardcore metal band out there but real ones), Near death accidents with a side of destroyed trailer, Job cuts, Gas prices and personal setbacks were not on the itinerary but they happened. Coming into October the band finished up a tour that was supposed to land them in LA but instead landed them Rangely, CO and then in El Paso Texas with a broken rear differential. Things were looking bad and only getting worse. As they prepared themselves for the last three months of the year they got a call from Guitar Center. The Heroine had been selected to fly to LA to audition for an opportunity to play for Motley Crue at the Whisky A GO GO. It was to say the least a moral booster. When the band was flown to LAX, picked up by Limo and put up in the Beverly Hill Towers they knew this was going to be interesting. The Heroine was hand selected out of 9,000 bands to go to LA. 1 of 30 bands from around the country. Among the 30 bands there was The Faded Spades from Chicago, Neverset from Dallas, The Spittin' Cobra From Seattle, The Dirty Pearls from New York, Lorane Drive from Victorville, The Last Vegas from Chicago, Waterstreet from Chicago, The Binges from Hollywood, Cherry Drive from Boston, and Something to Burn from LA. It was a good group of musicians with out a shortage of talent. After a rigorous one song audition in front of influential leaders in the music industry, including President of FUSE TV, Eric Sherman; Producer and Front man of Sixx: A.M., James Michael; Music Director of Los Angeles radio station 98.7, Julie Pilat; Chris Nilsson of Tenth St. Entertainment and General Manager of Eleven Seven Music, Frank Woodworth The Heroine was invited back to LA with fellow bands: The Last Vegas, The Spittin' Cobras, Waterstreet, The Dirty Pearls, and Lorane Drive for an amazing showcase at the world famous Whisky a GoGo. They Killed the stage in front of a capacity crowd. In front of Motley Crue. It was amazing. After playing that show the band continues to reap the benefits of being one of the top 6 unsigned bands in the country. Representing the Great State of Texas the band will be hitting the road this year to promote what can only be called The Greatest Show On Earth. Since 2002 The Heroine has toured Nationally opening up shows for the likes of Chiodos, The Showdown, As I Lay Dying, Every Time I Die, Maylene and The Sons, Dead Poetic, Waters Run Red, Endwell, Still Remains, Haste The Day, Calico System, Love Hate Hero, Secret Lives of The Fee Mason etc. The Heroine has defined what it means be an indie rock band. Literally! Touring relentlessly and playing music festivals around the country (to include Cornerstone Festival, Sonshine Festival, Edgefest, The Milwaukee Metal Fest and an invite on the Van's Warped Tour) with out any label support or backing the band has developed a loyal fanbase that continues to grow and gain momentum. This being a result of their cunning showmanship and ability to draw their fans into a ROCK show. A KILLER ROCK SHOW!!!!
