Mauro and McLaughlin have been band mates since 1980 co-writing, recording and performing as the Lovehandles. Conners, Needles and Collins joined the group in the mid-90s when the band recorded and performed as Joe’s Garage. Featured from the band’s spring 2008 album release “meet the landenbergs,” the band offers a combo of blues, country shuffle and ballads. “New Castle,” written by Mauro recalls his childhood growing up in what he remembers as an angelic New Castle, Delaware when compared to the big town Wilmington, where life was hurried, dark and at times dangerous. Also from New Castle, Tom Needles plays hot guitar licks here and throughout the album. On “Come On Back,” Mauro pays homage to Billy Boy Arnold in this classic blues tune where the lyrics beg the cheating girlfriend to come back. “I Know Your Boyfriend,” is based on Mauro’s experience in the early 70s as the lead singer of a local band. When the girls paid to much attention to the singer he often found himself face-to-face with their angry boyfriends later in the evening.
