This eclectic alternative/acoustic pop rock group has been gigging relentlessly in the western states, taking time out only for recording their latest EP. The group is a mash-up of vocal talent from London (yes, that London) with guitar, bass, and percussion all from distinctly American persuasions.
Since forming in 2009, the band is quickly racking up a loyal fan base and constantly growing their online presence. Their new recordings are well reviewed and highly acclaimed. Lead singer Colin Rivera, is a passionate performer, and award-winning songwriter. Jessi Rivera matches his strong vocal leads – and his trademark British accent - with complementary harmonies. On the American side, Jon Campbell is a capable guitarist with a deliberate “bluesy” edge and Justin Curtis adds his considerable talent as a percussionist, playing kit and djembe with the finesse of a jazz drummer. Matt Bailey who doesn’t hide his jazz influences, rounds out the mix with colorful bass lines.
The band has enjoyed much success as of late, gaining praise from promoters/reviewers such as Kollective Shows, Steely Mike, Y Mountain Productions and local record labels, as well as former major label recording artists, with whom they were fortunate enough to work on early demos. The band has shared the stage with popular bands through hundreds of shows, including former Capitol Records recording artists Ryan Shupe and the RubberBand. The Lovecapades are now set to promote their new EP extensively through increased online promotion, more tour dates and television appearances.
