The Machine Age is an indie/alt/powerpop trio from the Inland Empire of Southern California comprised of Andrew Williams (Lead Vocals/Bass Guitar), Dave Riem (Guitar/Backing Vocals), and F. Louie Delpilar (Drums/Percussion). The band rose from the ashes of a now-defunct local band, following a schism in creative direction between the current members and a former frontman. All three members of TMA began playing music during their teen years, and draw heavily upon influences such as Muse, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Silverchair, Deathcab for Cutie, Dream Theater, Dave Weckl, At the Drive-In, Alkaline Trio, and many more. The Machine Age has drawn critical comparisons to such acts as Weezer and the Get Up Kids, while developing their own unique brand of melody-driven powerpop, and are quickly gaining a local following thanks in part to their dynamic live show. Williams' howling vocals, Riem's melodic, solo-driven guitar, and Delpilar's thundering drumming blend to create an exciting new brand of California rock and roll. A common passion for creativity, collaboration, and diverse musical influences make The Machine Age an act to watch.
