The Marfalites, with their special brand of train beat driven Cowpunk Honky Tonk laced with faster-than-lighting guitar hooks are sure to get people dancing until closing time. Don't let "Honky Tonk" deter you, because this four piece band can just as easily please a punk rocker as a boot-scooter. Caveny's winning performance in the 2007 Shiner Beer "Rising Star" contest prompted Country music veteran and panel judge Janie Fricke to declare "I've been in Nashville, I've been to New York and I've been to L.A. and I've never heard anything like this...wonderful and unique." The Marfalites play original tunes peppered with unbeatable classics ranging from Waylon Jennings' "Are You Sure Hank Done it This Way" to Social Distortion's "Ball and Chain." Songwriter and front man Noah Caveny crafts smart tunes and delivers them with an intensity and pureness only possible when the singer is the writer of the songs he's performing. From the sweet ballad "Hearts on Fire" to the mournful cry in "Leaving Fayetville," his delivery is unyielding. This October Marfalites played Fall Indie Fest in Grand Prairie, Texas where they had the honor of receiving a "People's Choice" award for "Best Country Act." Come see The Marfalites, they will leave you wanting more.
